The Dog Story...

Here are our Dogs... Abby is our 8 year old chocolate lab. We have had her since we first got married. She is my buddy and usually doesn't leave my side if she is in the house. We originally got her when Kyle traveled so much with ITI so she could keep me company.

This is Jada, she is our 7 month old yellow lab. We got her for the girls for Christmas from Kyle and I. Kayleigh had a huge fear of dogs so we were attempting to help "solve" this. Which that part worked, however she is a terror.. she chews through everything.. to many things to list what she has destroyed... It is a shame she is such a cute puppy... It would make it easier to not like her much... HA!
So here is my dog story... I was doing Madelyn's hair before leaving the house and I could hear the dogs fighting out on the deck. I asked Kayleigh to go and yell at them out of the window to tell them to stop and this is what I hear... I hear her stomp across our floor in our bedroom out to the living room and to the window.. Then she proceeds to say "Dogs, I am getting really sick and tired of this.. please stop!" they fight some more.. "Dogs, I am telling you.. stop now, I am tired of this.. just quit it!" then we hear a ' UGHHH!!" as she is walking away.. as if she is so irritated with them. I was still in the bathroom finishing Madelyn's hair and was rolling laughing hearing all of this.. such a corker Kayleigh is.

Easter Dresses.. Ready for Church!

The girls all dressed up for church... I know, I have to match them.. kind of an obsession I have. I am sure that will end sometime soon.. but I will dress them alike as long as I can.. :) They just look to cute when they match..such cute butterfly girls..

Kayleigh all ready for church

Madelyn ready for church.. love the matching butterfly purses the Easter Bunny left you girls.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Bunny left the girls a treasure hunt this year. Madelyn was a little disappointed when she woke up Easter morning and did not see anything in front of the t.v. However, as soon as she discovered the note the Easter bunny left it got pretty exciting. The hunt took her to the toothbrush drawer in her bathroom, under Kayleigh's big girl bed, on Jada's food box, in Mom and Dad's whirlpool tub and then downstairs to Kayleigh's playhouse.. she figured out the riddles and the clues.. such a smart girl she is...

Ahh...the treasure hunt was so fun! What a treasure they found..

The Easter Bunny also hid eggs inside the house again this year. Madelyn tried to cheat and take on of Mom's decorative baskets full of eggs and said she found them all.. so silly... Those are all empty..

Kayleigh didn't want to take her new backpack off during the Easter Egg Hunt... She thinks she is so cool and just like her big sister wearing a backpack to school now.

Madelyn searching for the eggs. She was on a mission to find all of the eggs first. Although the Easter Bunny told her to leave the easy ones for her sister. She did pretty good and shared like a good big sister

Easter Egg Dying

Happy Easter a little late... I have been meaning to update this blog but we have been on the go crazy for the last couple of weeks. Here are some photos from Easter. We had a nice weekend just the four of us. We went to an amazing play at church "Hope Rising" the weekend prior to Easter so we were in full swing of the reason for the season... He is Risen! He is Alive Alleluia Amen!

A few of our creations... The girls were so excited to dye Easter eggs... we had quite the mess at the kitchen table but it was fun.

Even Dad got into the dying of the eggs... very cool Tye died egg there Kyle.. Nice work! You get an A+ for creativity.. :)

Madelyn was very proud of her egg with her name on it. She got to write her name, dye the egg and take it out.. notice none of it got on her clothes.. YAY!!

Here is Kayleigh's egg she did all by herself.. Kyle wrote Kayleigh's name on the egg but she dyed it. :) she was oh so proud... :)

Holy Titito!!

Volleyball is in the air... even though it was a cold and bitter weekend we still managed to get to the Spring Husker Volleyball game. It was sure sad to not see our friend #10 Jordan Larson take the court. But none-the-less we still had a great time.. I mean really.. it is Husker Volleyball, who can't have fun at that

My parents came with us of course and during the game when it got pretty exciting my mom taught Kayleigh how to say "Holy toledo!" Only for Kayleigh it came out "Holy Titito!" It was pretty comical.

After the game we went to say hi to a couple of our friends on the team.. Kayleigh just had to go and see "Sydeeeneee" .. (aka. Sydney Anderson the setter). Above is the picture I took of Kayleigh and Syd.. She is an amazing setter for the team by the way!! Super fun to watch and definitely the real deal!

I just love this photo, before the game starts they all do this ritual where they hold their hands up like this, and then go around the circle and give each player a high five.. What team unity!
Oh and we discovered #44 - Hannah Werth - she is the real deal! Going to be an amazing player for the Huskers I have a feeling! :) It could be interesting to see who starts this fall as we had a couple of players out with injuries (Cooper and Lindsey Licht) who started last season and there is still a long time of conditioning over the summer to determine who will take those starting positions.

Here is our new friend from the volleyball team - Tara Mueller. Jordan was gracious enough to introduce us to Tara before the season ended last year. We are hoping to spend some time with her this summer during their off season. She is from AZ (hence the tan) and is a super kid and lots of fun to talk to. She was great with the girls when we walked up to get their photo. Oh and I should point out the belt you can sort of see that Madelyn has on used to be Jordan's... she had to wear something of Jordans when we went to the game.. :)

Holy Titito!! It's going to be a few months before Husker volleyball starts.. but this family sure can't wait for it! :)
